Conferences are good:
- They allow you to meet like-minded people and network
- They provide useful training
- They introduce you to new ideas
- They showcase new and useful products and services
The Landlord Conference in November 2022 will do all of these things. So if you are a landlord – you should be there.
Landlord Conferences past
Long-time followers of this blog will remember that we ran an annual Conference from 2013.
We were working towards our 2020 Conference when the pandemic forced us to cancel. For the next two years, our Conferences were run online.
For 2022 however, we have teamed up with the National Residential Landlords Association.
So this year’s conference will be a bit different – bigger, with more exhibitors and speakers and a different format.
The talks and speakers
The Landlord Law Conferences were (as it says in the name) law conferences, and we focused on legal issues.
The 2022 Conference still has legal content – David Smith will be doing a review of legal issues and bringing us up to date, and housing barrister Justin Bates will be looking at housing law reform.
This will be the main focus of the morning, which will also feature our headline speaker – the Housing Minister Eddie Hughes (assuming he is still in post by then).
However, the afternoon will largely be looking at energy efficiency issues, with speakers on retrofitting and insulation. Something which recent events has shown is increasingly important.
There will be two panel discussions in the afternoon:
- One will be on the future of the profession generally
- The other will follow the energy efficiency talks, where speakers will take questions.
